The State Consumer Protection Offices in Connecticut and Massachusetts are reporting an amazing number of complaints connected to the Affordable Care Act. Officials say there are claims of identity theft and deceptive sales practices and look-a-like websites that are nothing more than scam centers. The experts suggest that the websites are difficult to police. They say that if you have any questions you need to call the Consumer Protection Offices.

An 18 month old Worcester child dies in what appears to be a tragic accident. Worcester Police say Sheryl Roaf was taking her child Bennett out of their car when the car somehow got in gear…she was hit by the door and the car ran them over. The child died at the hospital. Officials say that the official cause of death in the Chester Street accident won’t be known until the autopsy is done.

Gangster James ``Whitey'' Bulger is scheduled to be sentenced this week. Family members of eight slaying victims are hoping a judge will let them speak during the sentencing hearing, even though Bulger was acquitted in those deaths. Bulger was convicted in a racketeering indictment in August, including charges that he participated in 11 killings.

In Monson, officials say that a portion of Main Street will be without water on Wednesday. The water connections are being installed for the new town office building and to get that done the water will be turned off. Its an all day project which will start at 8A.

In Hatfield, police arrested a man for pointing a loaded rifle at a police officer. Police arresting 31 year old Todd Dostal at his home after the original call came in for a complaint of gunfire. Police confiscated a half dozen weapons. Police say among the charges are that of being drunk while in possession of a firearm.@

Another violent weekend in Springfield. This time a shooting on Grenada Terrace. Happened around 7pm. Police say they dont really know what happened and the condition of the victim isn't known yet.
