NO MONEY LEFT...NO BAIL FOR LOTTERY WINNER ACCUSED OF CHILD ABUSE

A 62-year-old man on the state's sex offender registry who won a $10 million lottery prize in 2008 has been ordered held on $5 million bail on new charges.

Daniel Snay of Uxbridge pleaded not guilty Monday to charges including indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14.

Snay was arrested Friday and charged with sexually assaulting a boy over several years starting when the boy was 10.

Police Chief Jeffrey Lourie says Snay's ``windfall aided the commission of the crimes'' by helping him gain favor with people.

Snay is listed as a Level 3 sex offender by the state, considered the most likely to re-offend.  His attorney says that he doesn't have any of his lottery winnings left.
