Big Y has a Big problem. They have a shortage of fresh 16 to 20 pound turkeys. Looks like the people at Butterball miscalculated and so they are cutting the distribution to stores by half. There will be more frozen turkeys on the market though. Butterball is not talking.@

Parents and residents gather last night in Springfield to determine what is next for Cathedral High School. The facility was damaged by the tornado of two years ago and now officials have just accepted a nearly 50 million dollar insurance settlement. But some residents say that the current damaged structure is nothing more than an eye sore. Others suggest that the Diocese of Springfield wants to build on another piece of property. But officials say there is no decision made on anything and the next step is to meet with FEMA officials to determine whether there can be any financial assitance rendered from them.@

Its president is now retire...now the commissioner of higher education has released more than 2 million dollars for Westfield State University's planned science center. That funding had been pulled when the controversey over the spending practices of Evan Dobelle had come under fire. He announced his retirement last week.@

The Berkshire County District Attorney says the body found in a wooded part of Dalton this week is that of 23 year old mother Theresa Burke. But officials say it is not suspicious.

31 year old Todd Dostal has pleaded not-guilty to charges that he pointed a loaded rifle at Hatfield Police. Court records say he was apparently drunk. Dostal has been released on a thousand dollars bail.

Monson goes to a single tax rate. Taxes will go up by about a hundred bucks. The taxes go up about a buck on a thousand.
